ل َيْتَ نَجمَةَ الصُّبحِ لَمْ تُشرِقْ فِي ذَلِكَ اليَومِ، وَلَيْتَ اللَّيلَ انتَظَرَ النُّورَ فَلَمْ يَأتِ. لَيْتَها لَمْ تَرَ خُيُوطَ الشَّمسِ الأُولَى.

Si oscurino le stelle del suo crepuscolo, aspetti la luce, ma non ne abbia alcuna e non veda lo spuntar del giorno
