و َقالَ هامانُ للمَلِكِ أحَشْوِيرُوشَ: «هُناكَ شَعبٌ يَعِيشُ مُتَفَرِقاً مُشَتَّتاً بَينَ الشُّعُوبِ فِي كُلِّ مُقاطَعاتِ مَملَكَتِكَ. وَشَرائِعُ هَذا الشَّعبِ تَختَلِفُ عَنْ شَرائِعِ الشُّعُوبِ الأُخْرَى. فَهُمْ لا يُطِيعُونَ شَرائِعَ المَلِكِ! وَلَيسَ مُلائِماً للمَلِكِ أنْ يَترُكَهُمْ وَشَأنَهُمْ.
Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from every other people, neither do they keep the king’s laws. Therefore it is not for the king’s profit to tolerate them.
