ك انَ آحازُ في العِشرِينَ منْ عُمرِهِ عندَما تَوَلَّى الحُكمَ. وَحَكَمَ ستَّ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً فِي القُدسِ. لَكنَّهُ لَمْ يَعِشْ حَياةَ اسْتقامَةٍ كَسَلَفِهِ داوُدَ. فَلَمْ يَفعَلْ آحازُ ما يُرضي اللهَ ،

¶ Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; but he did not do that which was right in the sight of the LORD, like David, his father.
