و َقَدْ وُلِدَ لَهُ سِتَّةُ أولادٍ فِي حَبْرُونَ، حَيثُ حَكَمَ مَلِكاً سِتَّ سَنَواتٍ وَسِتَّةَ أشْهُرٍ. ثُمَّ حَكَمَ ثَلاثاً وَثَلاثِينَ سَنَةً فِي القُدْسِ.
