و َوَقَفَ المَلِكُ داوُدُ وَقالَ: «اسْمَعُونِي يا إخْوَتِي وَشَعبِي. كُنتُ أنوِي بِناءَ مَكانِ راحَةٍ وَاسْتِقْرارٍ لِصُنْدُوقِ عَهْدِ اللهِ ، لِمَوطِئِ قَدَمَيِّ إلَهِنا. وَأعدَدْتُ لِبِنائِهِ.
