ل َكِنَّ اللهَ لَمْ يَشَأْ أنْ يَقضِيَ عَلَى بَيْتِ يَهُوذا بِسَبَبِ الوَعدِ الَّذِي قَطَعَهُ لعَبدِهِ داوُدَ. إذْ وَعَدَ اللهُ بِأنْ يَبْقَى مِصْباحاً مُنِيراً لِداوُدَ وَأبْنائِهِ إلى الأبَدِ.

However Yahweh would not destroy Judah, for David his servant’s sake, as he promised him to give to him a lamp for his children always.
