ف َقالَ نُعْمانُ: «لا تُرِيدُ أنْ تَقْبَلَ هَدِيَّتِي، فاسْمَحْ لِي أنْ آخُذَ حِملَ بَغلَينِ مِنَ التُّرابِ. فَأنا لا أُرِيدُ أنْ أُقَدِّمَ ذَبِيحَةً أوْ تَقْدِمَةً فِيما بَعْدُ لأيِّ إلَهٍ سِوَى يهوه.
