و َجاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَعلِ شَلِيشَةَ حامِلاً مَعَهُ خُبْزاً مِنْ أوَّلِ الحَصادِ لِرَجُلِ اللهِ. جَلَبَ مَعَهُ هَذا الرَجُلُ عِشْرِينَ رَغِيفاً مِنَ الشَّعِيرِ وَسَنابِلَ طَرِيَّةً فِي كِيسِهِ. فَقالَ ألِيشَعُ لَهُ: «أعطِ ما مَعَكَ لِلرِّجالِ لِيَأْكُلُوا.»
A man came from Baal-shalishah. He brought the man of God a gift of the first-fruits. There were twenty loaves of barley bread and new-grown grain in his bag. Elisha said, “Give them to the people, that they may eat.”
