و َهَدَمَ يُوشِيّا كُلَّ المَعابِدِ الَّتِي كانَ مُلُوكُ إسْرائِيلَ قَدْ أغْضَبُوا اللهَ حِينَ بَنُوها فِي المُرْتَفَعاتِ فِي السّامِرَةِ. وَفَعَلَ بِها ما فَعَلَهُ بِهَيكَلِ بَيْتِ إيلَ.

Giosia rimosse pure tutti i templi degli alti luoghi che erano nelle città di Samaria e che i re d'Israele avevano fatto per provocare ad ira l'Eterno. Egli fece ad essi esattamente ciò che aveva fatto a Bethel.
