و َاسْتَولَى شَلْمَنْأَسَرُ عَلَى السّامِرَةِ فِي نِهايَةِ السَّنَةِ الثّالِثَةِ، أي فِي السَّنَةِ السّادِسَةِ مِنْ حُكْمِ حَزَقِيّا لِيَهُوذا. وَهِيَ أيضاً السَّنَةُ التّاسِعَةُ مِنْ حُكْمِ هُوشَعَ لإسْرائِيلَ.

At the end of three years they captured it; in the sixth year of Hezekiah, which was the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was captured.
