غ َيرَ أنَّهُمْ لَمْ يُطِيْعُوا، بَلْ عَانَدُوا كَما فَعَلَ آباؤهُمْ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُؤمِنُوا بِإلَهِهِمْ.

Notwithstanding, they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, who had never believed in the LORD their God.
