ﺍﻟﻤﻠﻮﻙ ﺍﻷﻭ 2:22 ~ 1 Kings 2:22

ف َأجابَ المَلِكُ سُلَيْمانُ أُمَّهُ: «لِماذا تَطلُبِينَ إلَيَّ أنْ أُعطِيَ أبِيشَجَ لِأدُونِيّا؟ فَلِماذا لا تَطلُبِينَ إلَيَّ أنْ أجعَلَهُ المَلِكَ أيضاً؟ ألَيسَ هُوَ أخِي الأَكبَرُ مِنِّي. وَلا شَكَّ أنَّ الكاهِنَ أبِياثارَ وَيُوآبَ بنَ صُرُوِيَّةَ سَيَدعَمانِهِ.»

King Solomon answered his mother, “Why do you ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? Ask for him the kingdom also; for he is my elder brother; even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the son of Zeruiah.”
