و َحاكَ بَعشا بْنُ أخِيّا اليَسّاكَرِيِّ مُؤامَرَةً لِقَتلِ المَلِكِ نادابَ. حَدَثَ هَذا فِي الوَقتِ الَّذِي كانَ فِيهِ نادابُ وَكُلُّ إسْرائِيلَ يُهاجِمُونَ جِبَثُونَ، وَهِيَ مَدِينَةٌ فِلَسطِيَّةٌ. فَتَمَكَّنَ بَعشا مِنْ قَتلِ نادابَ هُناكَ.

Baasha son of Ahijah of the house of Issachar conspired against Nadab, and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, for Nadab and all Israel were laying siege to Gibbethon.
