أ مّا رَحُبْعامُ، فَكانَ مَلِكاً عَلَى يَهُوذا. وَقَدِ اعتَلَى العَرشَ فِي الواحِدَةِ وَالأربَعِينَ مِنْ عُمْرِهِ. وَحَكَمَ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً مِنْ مَدِينَةِ القُدْسِ، المَدِينَةِ الوَحِيدَةِ الَّتِي اختارَ اللهُ أنْ يُكَرَّمَ فِيها مِنْ بَينِ جَمِيعِ مُدُنِ إسْرائِيلَ. وَكانَ اسْمُ أُمِّ رَحُبْعامَ نِعمَةَ العَمُّونِيَّةَ.
Now Solomon’s son Rehoboam ruled in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king. And he ruled for seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city the Lord had chosen from all the families of Israel to put His name there. The name of Rehoboam’s mother was Naamah of Ammon.
