A nd David said to Jonathan, Behold, to-morrow is new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat; but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field until the third evening.

David sprach zu ihm: Siehe, morgen ist der Neumond, da ich mit dem König zu Tisch sitzen sollte; so laß mich, daß ich mich auf dem Felde verberge bis an den Abend des dritten Tages.
