A nd Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons were doing to all Israel, and that they lay with the women that served at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

Eli era foarte bătrîn, şi a aflat cum se purtau fiii lui cu tot Israelul; a aflat şi că se culcau cu femeile cari slujeau afară la uşa cortului întîlnirii.
