A nd Jehovah said to Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thy horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite; for I have provided me a king among his sons.

Domnul i-a zis lui Samuel: – Până când îl vei mai plânge pe Saul, din moment ce Eu l-am respins, ca să nu mai domnească peste Israel? Umple-ţi cornul cu untdelemn şi du-te acolo unde te trimit: la Işai, betleemitul, pentru că pe unul din fiii săi Mi l-am ales ca rege.
