A nd the Philistines were assembled together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is on the sea-shore in multitude; and they came up, and encamped in Michmash, eastward from Beth-Aven.

I Filistei si radunarono per combattere contro Israele; avevano trentamila carri, seimila cavalieri e gente numerosa come la sabbia che è sulla riva del mare. Salirono dunque e si accamparono a Micmas, a oriente di Bet-Aven.
