A nd the men of Ai turned and saw, and behold, the smoke of the city went up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way; and the people that fled to the wilderness turned upon the pursuers.

艾 城 的 人 回 头 一 看 ， 不 料 ， 城 中 烟 气 冲 天 ， 他 们 就 无 力 向 左 向 右 逃 跑 。 那 往 旷 野 逃 跑 的 百 姓 便 转 身 攻 击 追 赶 他 们 的 人 。
