A nd it came to pass when the children of Israel were become strong, that they made the Canaanites tributary; but they did not utterly dispossess them.

وَحِينَ قَوِيَ بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ، أجبَرُوا الكَنعانِيِّينَ عَلَى العَمَلِ كَعَبِيدٍ، لَكِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَطرُدُوهُمْ تَماماً.
