A nd he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with the manna, which thou hadst not known, and which thy fathers knew not; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread alone, but by everything that goeth out of the mouth of Jehovah doth man live.

І впокорював Він тебе, і морив тебе голодом, і годував тебе манною, якої не знав ти й не знали батьки твої, щоб дати тобі знати, що не хлібом самим живе людина, але всім тим, що виходить із уст Господніх, живе людина.
