A nd Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the strange gods of the land into which they enter, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.

Entonces Jehová dijo a Moisés: «He aquí que vas a dormir con tus padres, y este pueblo se levantará para prostituirse tras los dioses ajenos de la tierra adonde va para vivir en medio de ella. Me dejará e invalidará el pacto que he concertado con él.
