b ecause they met you not with bread and with water on the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor, of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

fiindcă nu v-au întâmpinat cu pâine şi cu apă pe drum, la ieşirea voastră din Egipt şi l-au adus împotriva voastră pe Balaam, fiul lui Beor, din Petorul Aram-Naharayimului pentru a vă blestema.
