f or before these days Theudas rose up, alleging himself to be somebody, to whom a number of men, about four hundred, were joined; who was slain, and all, as many as obeyed him, were dispersed and came to nothing.

Poiché un po' di tempo fa sorse Teuda, che diceva di essere qualcuno; accanto a lui si raccolsero circa quattrocento uomini; ma egli fu ucciso, e tutti coloro che l'avevano seguito furono dispersi.
