A nd Paul and Barnabas spoke boldly and said, It was necessary that the word of God should be first spoken to you; but, since ye thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the nations;

Allora Paolo e Barnaba, parlando con franchezza, dissero: «Era necessario che fosse annunziata a voi per primi la parola di Dio; ma poiché la respingete e non vi giudicate degni della vita eterna ecco, noi ci rivolgiamo ai gentili.
