H is parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if any one confessed him Christ, he should be excommunicated from the synagogue.

Esto dijeron sus padres, porque tenían miedo de los judíos; porque ya los judíos habían conspirado, que si alguno confesaba ser él el Cristo, fuera expulsado de la sinagoga.
