T he soldiers therefore, when they had crucified Jesus, took his clothes, and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and the body-coat; but the body-coat was seamless, woven through the whole from the top.

Tendo, pois, os soldados crucificado a Jesus, tomaram as suas vestes, e fizeram delas quatro partes, para cada soldado uma parte. Tomaram também a túnica; ora a túnica não tinha costura, sendo toda tecida de alto a baixo.
