T he chief priests of the Jews therefore said to Pilate, Do not write, The king of the Jews, but that he said, I am king of the Jews.

So the chief priests of the Jews were saying to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘ The King of the Jews’; but that He said, ‘I am King of the Jews.’”
