A nd the chief priests and the whole sanhedrim sought testimony against Jesus to cause him to be put to death, and did not find.

وَكانَ كِبارُ الكَهَنَةِ وَجَمِيعُ أعضاءِ مَجلِسِ اليَهودِ يَسعَونَ إلَى شَهادَةِ زُورٍ ضِدَّ يَسُوعَ لِيَقتُلُوهُ، لَكِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَجِدُوا دَليلاً.
