T hen Israel vowed a vow to Jehovah, and said, If thou give this people wholly into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.

فَنَذَرَ إسْرائِيلُ نَذراً خاصّاً للهِ ، فَقالَ: «إنْ ساعَدْتَنا فِي هَزِيمَةِ هَذا الشَّعبِ، فَسَنُدَمِّرُ مُدُنَهُمْ تَماماً.»
