a nd I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not, and the land was desolate after them, so that no one passed through nor returned; and they laid the pleasant land desolate.

«ma li ho dispersi col turbine fra tutte le nazioni che essi non conoscevano. Cosí il paese rimase desolato dietro di loro, senza più nessuno che vi passasse o vi ritornasse. Di un paese di delizie essi fecero una desolazione».
