N ow this Daniel surpassed the presidents and the satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to appoint him over the whole realm.

Daniel aber übertraf die Fürsten und Landvögte alle, denn es war ein hoher Geist in ihm; darum gedachte der König, ihn über das ganze Königreich zu setzen.
