T he Lord is become as an enemy: he hath swallowed up Israel; he hath swallowed up all her palaces; he hath destroyed his strongholds, and hath multiplied in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.

Il Signore è divenuto come un nemico: ha divorato Israele, ha divorato tutti i suoi palazzi, ha distrutto le sue fortezze; ha moltiplicato alla figlia di Giuda i lamenti e i gemiti.
