A nd the pit into which Ishmael had cast all the dead bodies of the men whom he had slain by the side of Gedaliah was the one which Asa the king had made for fear of Baasha king of Israel: Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with the slain.

Or la cisterna nella quale Ishmael gettò tutti i cadaveri degli uomini che aveva ucciso insieme a Ghedaliah è quella che il re Asa aveva fatto costruire per paura di Baasha, re d'Israele. Ishmael, figlio di Nethaniah, la riempí di uccisi.
