J ehovah, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of distress, unto thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and they shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited falsehood vanity; and in these things there is no profit.

Doamne, tăria, cetăţuia şi scăparea mea în ziua necazului! Neamurile vor veni la Tine dela marginile pămîntului, şi vor zice:, Părinţii noştri n'au moştenit decît minciună, idoli deşerţi, cari nu sînt de niciun ajutor!
