A nd I commended mirth, because there is nothing better for man under the sun than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry; for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God hath given him under the sun.

Così io ho lodato la gioia, perché non c’è per l’uomo altro bene sotto il sole, il sole all’infuori del mangiare, del bere e del gioire; questo è quello che lo accompagnerà in mezzo al suo lavoro, durante i giorni di vita che Dio gli dà sotto il sole.
