B ut against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast; that ye may know that Jehovah distinguisheth between the Egyptians and Israel.

Not even a dog will make a sound against those of Israel, man or animal, so you may know that the Lord divides Egypt from Israel.’
