A nd the other Jews that were in the king's provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their life, and had rest from their enemies; and they slew of them that hated them seventy-five thousand (but they laid not their hand on the prey),

Anche gli altri Giudei che erano nelle province del re si radunarono, per difendere la loro vita e stare al sicuro dagli attacchi dei loro nemici; uccisero settantacinquemila di quelli che li odiavano, ma non si diedero al saccheggio.
