F or there were many in the congregation that were not hallowed; therefore the Levites had the charge of the slaughtering of the passover-lambs for every one not clean, to hallow them unto Jehovah.

Comme il y avait dans l'assemblée beaucoup de gens qui ne s'étaient pas sanctifiés, les Lévites se chargèrent d'immoler les victimes de la Pâque pour tous ceux qui n'étaient pas purs, afin de les consacrer à l'Éternel.
