A nd he gathered together the priests and the Levites, and said to them, Go out to the cities of Judah and collect of all Israel money for the repair of the house of your God from year to year, and ye shall hasten the matter. But the Levites hastened it not.

Prandaj mblodhi priftërinjtë dhe Levitët dhe u tha atyre: "Shkoni në qytetet e Judës dhe mblidhni vit për vit nga gjithë Izraeli paratë që nevojiten për të restauruar shtëpinë e Perëndisë tuaj; përpiquni ta kryeni shpejt këtë punë". Por Levitët nuk treguan asnjë nxitim.
