A nd Jabez was more honoured than his brethren; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bore him with pain.

وَكانَ يَعْبِيصُ ذا كَرامَةٍ أكْثَرَ مِنْ جَميعِ إخْوَتِهِ. وَقَدْ سَمَّتْهُ أُمُّهُ «يَعْبِيصَ» إذْ قالَتْ: «لِأنِّي تَألَّمْتُ وَأنا ألِدُهُ.»
