A nd king David said to Ornan, No; but I will in any case buy for the full money; for I will not take that which is thine for Jehovah, to offer up a burnt-offering without cost.

But King David said to Ornan, “No, I will buy it for the full price. I will not take what is yours for the Lord. And I will not give a burnt gift for which I do not pay.”
