A nd David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of Jehovah stand between the earth and the heavens, and his sword drawn in his hand, stretched out over Jerusalem. And David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell on their faces.

Und David hob seine Augen auf und sah den Engel des HERRN stehen zwischen Himmel und Erde und sein bloßes Schwert in seiner Hand ausgereckt über Jerusalem. Da fielen David und die Ältesten, mit Säcken bedeckt, auf ihr Antlitz.
