A nd David put in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, brought gifts. And Jehovah preserved David whithersoever he went.

Then David put garrisons in Syria, Damascus; the Syrians became David’s servants and brought tribute. Thus the Lord preserved and gave victory to David wherever he went.
