A nd he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba even to Beer-sheba; and he broke down the high places of the gates, those at the entrance of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, those on the left hand of any at the gate of the city.

Người cũng đòi đến hết thảy những thầy tế lễ ở các thành Giu-đa, làm ô uế những nơi cao mà chúng nó có xông hương, từ Ghê-ba cho đến Bê -e-Sê-ba; lại phá những bàn thờ lập tại cửa thành, tức tại cửa Giô-suê, quan cai thành, ở về phía bên tả, khi vào cửa thành.
