a nd have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; therefore have they destroyed them.

وَصَحِيحٌ أيضاً أنَّهُمْ ألقَوْا بِآلِهَةِ الأُمَمِ الأُخرَى فِي النّارِ. لَكِنَّها لَمْ تَكُنْ آلِهَةً حَقِيقِيَّةً، وَلَيْسُوا سِوَى صُنْعِ أيْدٍ بَشَرِيَّةٍ، فَهُمْ خَشَبٌ وَحَجَرٌ. وَلِهَذا دُمِّرُوا.
