A nd he said to him, Thus saith Jehovah: Because thou hast let go out of thy hand the man that I had devoted to destruction, thy life shall be for his life, and thy people for his people.

فَقالَ النَّبِيُّ لِلمَلِكِ: «يَقُولُ لَكَ اللهُ: ‹أنتَ أطلَقْتَ سَراحَ رَجُلٍ قُلْتُ أنا إنَّهُ يَنْبَغِي أنْ يَمُوتَ. لِهَذا سَتَكُونُ أنْتَ عِوَضاً عَنْهُ، وَسَتَمُوتُ أنْتَ وَشَعبُكَ!›»
