A nd said to him, The cities that my father took from thy father I will restore; and thou shalt make streets for thyself in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. And I will send thee away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.

Então lhe disse Bene-Hadade: Eu te restituirei as cidades que meu pai tomou a teu pai; e farás para ti praças em Damasco, como meu pai as fez em Samária. E eu, respondeu Acabe, com esta aliança te deixarei ir. E fez com ele aliança e o deixou ir.
