A nd he said, I have been very jealous for Jehovah the God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I am left, I alone, and they seek my life, to take it away.

Respondeu ele: Tenho sido muito zeloso pelo Senhor Deus dos exércitos; porque os filhos de Israel deixaram o teu pacto, derrubaram os teus altares, e mataram os teus profetas ã espada; e eu, somente eu, fiquei, e buscam a minha vida para ma tirarem.
