A nd king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the levy; but all Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. And king Rehoboam hastened to mount his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.

Regele Roboam l-a trimis la ei pe Adoniram, cel care era mai mare peste oamenii de corvoadă, dar toţi israeliţii l-au omorât împroşcându-l cu pietre. Atunci regele Roboam s-a grăbit să se suie în car ca să fugă la Ierusalim.
